Water: Mistress of DisguisesLiquid, Solid, Gas|Solvent, Solute, Solution Every molecule: Present since the dawn of time.
The properties and behaviors of this tiny molecule are astounding and the effects can be devastating; from floating a boat to crashing an airliner.

In 500 BC, water was considered by many secular philosophers as the sole fundamental principle in nature. Thales of Miletus said, “It is water that, in taking different forms, constitutes the earth, atmosphere, sky, mountains, gods and men, beasts and birds, grass and trees, and animals down to worms, flies and ants. All these are different forms of water. Meditate on water." This presentation begins with the water molecule; its properties, manifestations and behaviors; and weaves the tale of how these characteristics manifest themselves in the fun, excitement and dangers that abound when we mix airplanes, speed, and temperature with that most abundant and indestructible chemical element, Hydrogen Hydroxide!
