1) Register for the event on the DAF web site by clicking here.

2) Secure your room(s) at the Plaza Inn & Suites at Ashland Creek. To book, please call (541) 488-8900 and ask for Gulled, the manager. Tell him you are with the Del Amo Flyers.
3) Purchase your theater tickets - these sell out early! See the next paragraphs for instructions.

Theater: Ashland is home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, which will be running during our visit.
The Tempest is playing Friday night in the Shakespeare theater at 8:00 PM and tickets are still available. Click here for information and tickets.

There are other theaters in in Ashland. If you find something you want to see, please get your tickets as early as you can - the theater season is often a sellout.
These theaters have performances on Friday and Saturday:
> Oregon Cabaret Theater: https://oregoncabaret.com/in-the-heights/
> Camelot Theater (in Talent, the next town over): https://camelottheatre.org/2022-honeymoon/
> Angus Bowmer Theatre: https://www.osfashland.org/en/productions/2022-plays/how-i-learned-what-i-learned.aspx
> Thomas theater: https://www.osfashland.org/en/productions/2022-plays/unseen.aspx

Hotel:
Our hotel is the Plaza Inn & Suites at Ashland Creek. The hotel is minutes by foot from the theaters, downtown shops and Lithia Park. Our on-location correspondent visited the hotel yesterday and confirms to us that it has a great location, so you'll be able to enjoy the town on foot if you so choose.

Vineyards:
While Ashland is known for its summer theater festivals, it is also in the south Rogue River Valley, one of Oregon's premier wine growing regions. We are talking to several vineyards about having a tasting on Saturday. Later Saturday evening we'll have tables booked at a restaurant down the street from our hotel, early enough for you to take in another musical or play, if you have the strength.

Airport: Ashland airport (S03) is a single 3,600' runway VFR field aligned with the Rogue River valley, near Medford in southern Oregon. Its about 545 NM from Torrance to Ashland. Ashland airport serves fuel, has plenty of tie-downs and is managed by an active FBO - Skinner Aviation. This might be the only FBO left in America without its own web site, but their phone number is (541) 482-7675 and they are friendly.

That other airport:
If you need a ride to Ashland, consider Avelo Airlines. They fly from Burbank to Medford (20 minutes from Ashford) at 450 knots in a 737-800. There's a flight up on Thursday and back down on Sunday for $49 each way. Its an easy trip.

Here's a 2 page map of Ashland showing the airport and town, plus the many trails surrounding the town, all the way up to Mt. Ashland. The hiking is great.
