Our Theme: “Flying Down to Rio” - We are throwing a 1930’s party in Rio de Janeiro. It is the Golden Age of Aviation meets Rio in the 30’s. The inspiration is the 1933 Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers film “Flying Down to Rio”. So let’s fly down to Rio in style!
The Event: There will be music, dancing, dinner and fun! Mitch will be cooking up some delectable pork and beef. We also provide beverages! We ask that you bring a potluck item to share with everyone.
Cost: The cost of the event is a mere $20 per member ($25 per non-member)
What to bring: Please bring a food item large enough to feed 6-8 people (otherwise it’s not really a potluck, is it?)
Dress: Come as you are or consider the fun costume ideas, including: 1930’s, Golden Age of Aviation, Rio De Janeiro (Ipanema, Carnival or Carmen Miranda)
Parking: No parking restrictions, only a suggestion that you leave several parking spaces next to the potluck hangars for those who have health or mobility issues (like handicapped parking spaces). Also, since we will now be at the end of Executive hangar row, it's possible that closer parking when you arrive may be behind the Executive row hangars just around the corner from the potluck, so check that out too.
How to sign up: Please register on the website by July 20th (we need an accurate headcount for the meat and beverages). Also, let us know what type of dish you will be bringing.
