January 23rd's DAF event will be a bus-in to the California Science Center - home of the space shuttle Endeavor. We will meet at the GAC at 8:30AM to board our chartered bus. At 10AM, we have group tickets to see the IMAX movie "Journey to Space". Following the movie, everyone will have about two hours to view other exhibits and catch lunch at the Science Center's grill. At 12:45PM, our group will tour the companion exhibit to the Journey to Space movie. Finally we will meetup at 2:30PM to tour the space shuttle exhibit. On our way back home, we'll crack open the wine and appetizers and have an afternoon Happy Hour.
The cost of the movie/exhibits will be $14.00 per person. The shared cost of the bus will be between $19 and $25 per person depending on how many people will will come. We will also take contributions for the Happy Hour food and beverages.
