Our June fly-in (June 9-11) is a short flight to Buellton, CA (via Santa Ynez) where we will be staying at the Flying Flags RV Resort and Campground  and the adjacent Sideways Inn.  The resort and hotel are in the heart of Buellton, which in turn is a short distance to the Danish town of Solvang.  You will have a choice of many different accomodation options: hotel rooms in the Sideways Inn, vintage Airstream trailers, fully-furnished Safari tents (aka "Glamping"), or bring-your-own RV or tent.  We are planning on having a group BBQ at the campground on Friday night and are working on a group meal in Solvang on Saturday.  There is a lot to do in this area including winery tours, hiking, casinos and the 55th annual "Old Santa Ynez Days" street fair on Saturday.

Hotel Accommodations.  Hotel rooms are available a the resort's sister property the Sideways Inn starting at a rate of $120 (excluding tax) per night.  If you think you're interested, then you should book soon and cancel if you need to (there is a 24 hour cancellation policy).  You can make your reservation directly with the hotel at 805-688-8448.

RV Resort Accommodations.  If you are pitching your own tent or bringing your own RV, please contact the resort directly and make your reservation at 877-783-5247 or online at Flying Flags Resort (don't wait too long since this is peak season and they will get full).  For those interested in the Airstream/Vintage Trailers or Safari Tents, I have reserved a variety of units as shown below.  I had to make these reservations under my name and paid a corresponding deposit - the resort doesn't offer a block booking option.  What this means is that you will need to coordinate with me and the resort to transfer the reservation and deposit to your own name.  Once you know what kind of accommodation you want, go ahead a fill out and submit the registration form.  I will then email you with the appropriate reservation ID for your requested accommodation.  You then need to call Flying Flags, give them the reservation ID and provide your own credit card for the transferred deposit.  By using a specific reservation ID, we eliminate the risk of people calling in and transferring an already taken reservation.  Everything will be first-come, first-served - I will try to keep the website updated with remaining inventory.  Note that there is a 10 day cancellation policy for both the Safari Tents and Trailers; cancellations less than ten days will forfeit first night's deposit.
