We had a near capacity crowd at our April Dinner Meeting featuring the Best of Fly-ins program at the Think Cafe in San Pedro. This temporary location worked out well for the group, along with really good food! We will be back at the Palos Verdes Golf Club on May 15 after their renovation has been completed. Mitch Taylor coordinated a very special program, with photos and narrations of DAFers favorite fly-ins over the past 18 years. Along with Mitch, narrators included Joe Cogan, Lisa Hahn, Jim Piper and Liz Broen. Some of the highlighted fly-in locations were Sun River, OR, Smiley Creek, ID, St. George, UT Campbell River, BC, Nootka, BC, Tsuniah Lake, BC, Sedona, AZ, Telluride, CO, Albuquerque, NM (featuring the International Balloon Festival) and Alamos, MX where we have a return fly-in scheduled for November 1-5 of this year. We also paid tribute to some of the fly-in attendees who are no longer with us. The program was lots of fun for all, including those newer members who got to see some of the cool experiences and fun places we have flown to in the past.
