2025 Annual Drive-In: The Griffith Observatory
Del Amo Flyers January 11th Drive-In to The Griffith Observatory.
Saturday January 11th we planned our traditional DAF drive in to Griffith Observatory.
At the observatory, the DAFers can only imagine the mysteries in the sky and beyond.
The Observatory is opens at 10:00 and there are a variety of programs offered including:At the observatory, the DAFers can only imagine the mysteries in the sky and beyond.
- Tesla Coil Demonstration
- Pacific Standard Universe
- Local noon in the Gottlieb Transition Corridor.
We will be viewing “Signs of Life” at 11:45 in the Sammuel Oschin Planetarium.

Saturday, January 11th
Meet at the General Aviation Center at 9:00AM, for mission briefing and carpooling (parking is tight so we want to carpool)
Arrive at Griffith Observatory around 10:00AM
All members and their guests are welcome
IMPORTANT: Register on the DAF web site, we need a headcount
DAF Saturday Drive In Mission Plan:
Preflight briefing at Torrance General Aviation Center at 9:00AM
Arrive at Griffith Observatory around 10:00AM
Samuel Oschin Planetarium Theater show at 11:45 for "Signs of Life"
Ticket $10 and $8 Seniors, Tickets are purchased at the Observatory
Lunch at Café at the End of the Universe
Please be sure to sign up on the DAF website by Wednesday, January 8th
We can get a headcount and get you logged into the “Group-Me” App.
